You may find many online, VPN Affiliate review websites negatively bring down a VPN service because of the country they are operating in. As a founder of a VPN service, I want to give my two cents on this topic and what my honest opinion is.
Let’s get this straight, the number one reason you find a VPN service operating outside of the founders/owners original country is because of TAX breaks. It’s not because oh Seychelles/Belize/BVI, Panama has good privacy laws, which is the main benefiting reason a VPN service chooses to use these locations. It’s simple they don’t pay any Taxes when they run the business from such countries and I’m not talking about every VPN service but that is the main reason for most. So does it really matter if a VPN service operates in the 14 Eyes? honestly NO! it does not. You affiliate review sites need to quit the Bull Sh*t so you can use this as an excuse to promote your highest paying VPN affiliate. No wonder they pay you guys so much, it’s because they don’t have to pay any dam Taxes.
If a VPN provider truly keeps no logs, it doesn’t matter what country they operate in. Unless that country passes a law that states VPN providers should retain logs for a specific period of time. As long as the following is in place nothing else is important
- Authentications Servers – Should keep zero logs or they should be erased every 5-10 minutes max.
this will eliminate timestamps. Writing to disk should be disabled ideally.
- VPN servers – Zero logs, writing to disk should be disabled period.
- Shared IP Topology – This is essential
So let’s face it if you don’t have logs you don’t have anything to give and it’s simple as that.
